Chiswick House – Conservatory

Working alongside English Heritage and the London Borough of Hounslow, the Conservatory building has been sensitively repaired and adapted to provide new uses and it is now fully accessible. The Conservatory hosts the world famous 19th century camellia collection. Some of the camellias are almost 200 years old and are rare and historically important examples of these beautiful plants.

The Conservatory backsheds have been used to provide staff areas, toilets and services accommodation. The west wing is used as an exhibition and training space, while the east side retains much original fabric and has been repaired to provide a study centre.
