Dartford Library

Following fire damage to a gymnasium built in Dartford in the late 1960’s we were asked to reconfigure the building to house a new campus library.

The design proposed the insertion of a new mezzanine floor to provide sufficient floor space to house the library collections at ground floor level. Study spaces are located at the upper level to make best use of the natural light provided by the generous roof glazing over.
